Ronja Seyfried was born in Lower Bavaria and first stood in front of the camera at the age of six. During her high school years, she appeared in a number of television productions and films, including Bullyparade – Der Film. She also worked as a singer and appeared in several musicals.
In 2020, she completed her acting training at the Athanor Akademie in Passau and began working as an editor, screenwriter and director that same year. Her debut film “In Spite Of All The Danger” was nominated for the Camgaroo Award in 2023.
Since 2022, she has created annual theater performances for children in German kindergartens in South Jutland together with her colleagues from the “Katze Bartputzer” theater group – an experience that has given her the opportunity to get to know and love the region.

Mathias Harrebye-Brandt was born into the German minority in Denmark and carries the identity of a multilingual borderland deep in his heart. It’s no surprise that he has portrayed a multitude of Scandinavian roles over the years particularly his Finnish characters stand out.

His gift for languages and dialects is evident in his diverse repertoire. Mathias has the ability to embody any role with authenticity and fluidity, like a chameleon. His love for acting is his driving force – an inner passion that infuses every performance with the same dedication, whether he’s standing next to Tom Hanks or on the windswept Cornish coast in a Rosamunde Pilcher drama.

Yannick Hehlgans works as an all-round performer in the theatre scene of the Cologne/Bonn area. From actor and voice artist to stilt walker and author, he is active on various stages. Having grown up in Lower Saxony, he has always felt drawn to the north, and since 2018 he has been travelling once a year through Flensburg, Kollund, Aabenraa, and all the beautiful regions of the borderland.

With the character Cat Bartputzer, Yannick tours German kindergartens of the minority community and is a yearly guest of the BDN as well as at Haus Quickborn. Filming a movie there had been a long-standing wish—and now it has finally come true.

Julia Stiegler was born in Innsbruck and grew up in Tyrol and the Salzburg region. She lives in Hamburg. She is a co-founder of the theatre company BIISH and has performed at various international theatre festivals. Since 2022, she has been bringing music and theatre to kindergartens of the German minority as “Katze Bartputzer.”

Stella Sina is a member of the german minority and grew up near Gravenstein. After completing the youth talent programme at Teatret Møllen and attending Deutsches Gymnasium für Nordschleswig, she studied acting for one year at Teaterhøjskolen Rødkilde. She then moved to Copenhagen, where she co-founded the theatre group “Gør det på dig selv” together with friends from the højskole.
Since 2023, Stella has been studying political science alongside her work as an assistant director.

Freddy Hansen is a true North Schleswigian. Born in 1982, Freddy grew up in Rens and attended, among other places, German kindergartens and German schools in North Schleswig. The trained electrician is a passionate actor in the amateur theatre group Jündewatt, which delights audiences every year at the German House in Jündewatt (Store Jyndevad). For the past few years, Freddy has worked as the caretaker at Haus Quickborn – and now he also plays the caretaker in our film. Casting Freddy for this role was the most natural choice.

Julia Urban completed her acting studies at the Athanor Academy, which at the time was still located in Burghausen. After several years as part of the ensemble at the Salzburg State Theatre, she has now been working for more than twenty years as a joyful freelance actress in theatre and film. Julia lives by Lake Chiemsee and mainly works in Austria and southern Germany. Due to family ties, she is often a guest in Schleswig-Holstein and loves the fjord almost as much as she loves Lake Chiemsee.
